From April 22nd to 24th this year, some of Australia’s top notch racing yachts would take part of the 62nd Brisbane to Gladstone Race which is Queenland’s premier offshore passage race. Peter Harburg’s RP 66 “Black Jack”, Grant Wharington’s yacht “Skandia” and Bruce Absolon’s Volvo 60 “Spirit of the Maid” are among the most well-known strong participants of this annual event.
As dictated by the competition’s tradition, this race would start at Brisbane which boasts of its gorgeous river and proximity to the east coast, which provides a greater yachting experience for those who would like to de-stress themselves after being burned out by work.
