Kawasaki Siapkan Prajurit Terbaru Ninja

VIVAnews - PT Kawasaki Motor Indonesia (PT KMI) nampaknya sudah memiliki senjata baru untuk memanaskan persaingan motor sport di pasar otomotif tanah air.
Hal itu dilakukan setelah Honda Indonesia meluncurkan motor sport Honda CBR 150R pada akhir Juni lalu. Rencananya pada semester pertama 2012, KMI akan meluncurkan generasi terbaru dari Kawasaki Ninja 150RR.

Berdasarkan keterangan seorang sumber di KMI, mengatakan prajurit terbaru Ninja ini mengusung mesin 150 cc empat tak, untuk menggantikan mesin generasi lawas yang masih dua tak.

Ninja 159RR diperkirakan mampu menyemburkan tenaga hingga 31 daya kuda pada 10.000-10.500 rpm. "Motor sport itu akan dibanderol pada kisaran Rp33 juta," kata sumber itu.

Beberapa blog dan milis otomotif menyebutkan Ninja 159RR memiliki semburan tenaga yang besar, namun irit dari konsumsi bahan bakar (BBM).

Hal itu disebabkan ada sebuah teknologi yang diadopsi oleh motor tersebut, yakni Kawasaki Integrated Powervalve System (KIPS).

Selain itu, adanya penggunaan silinder blok mesin baru yang bernama Super Electrofussion Cylinder dengan piston yang terbuat dari bahan ringan tapi kuat. Alhasil tingkat gesekan di mesin sangat minim dan proses pembakaran berlangsung lebih sempurna serta irit BBM.

Hingga saat ini pihak KMI masih menutup rapat informasi mulai dari spesifiskasi dan harga motor tersebut. (adi)

The engine remains the same reliable and tractable, liquid-cooled, dohc, 16-valve, 748cc Four fed by 32mm Keihin throttle bodies. Power claims are 106 hp at 10,500 rpm with 57.8 ft.-lb. peak torque at 8300 rpm.

That engine is harnessed by the Z750 chassis, unchanged in geometry or structure, but with better brakes, suspension and rolling gear. The inverted 41mm fork, inherited from the 2009 Z1000, is adjustable for spring preload and rebound damping. The swingarm is new, fabricated from cast and stamped aluminum elements and actuating a piggyback-style shock, which is also adjustable for preload and rebound.

The entire braking system has been upgraded. Up front, 300mm rotors are teamed with four-piston radial-mount calipers. The rear rotor is sized down to 250mm and the caliper is a floating single-piston unit. All rotors are thicker, up from 4.5mm to 6.0, and have a daisy-style design. Brake lines are steel-braided, and ABS is available.

Styling is sharper, with a new bikini fairing and updated instrumentation. The front fender and the massive, Z1000-like muffler are also new. Options include an Akrapovic exhaust, a suede-trimmed sport seat, a spoiler and imitation carbon-fiber add-ons. Two-tone or matte-black paint schemes contribute to the edgy new look, making the Z750R a very desirable naked bike.

Kawasaki Siapkan D-Tracker X

Minerva boleh saja punya Megelli 250M Supermoto. Namun Kawasaki juga sudah mempersiapkan senjata baru. Yakni D-Tracker X.

Ya, PT Kawasaki Motor Indonesia (KMI) telah bersiap untuk meluncurkan varian baru lagi. Berbekal engine 250 cc DOHC, motor ini siap berhadapan langsung dengan Megelli 250 Supermoto.

"Ya, kita akan luncurkan D-Tracker bersamaan dengan KLX 150, 16 Mei mendatang," ujar National Sales Manager KMI Freddy Basuki, ketika dihubungi okezone, Jumat (1/5/2009).

Sebenarnya, Kawasaki D-Tracker X merupakan pengembangan dari KLX 250S. Hanya saja, sistem suspensi dan ban yang digunakan lebih akrab untuk digunakan di jalan raya.

Dibekali mesin DOHC, injeksi bahan bakar, 4-tak, D-Tracker akan menggunakan roda 17 inci berukuran 110/70 di depan, sedangkan ban belakang menggunakan 130/70.

Lantas bagaimana harganya? "60 jutaan," ujar Freddy. Bagaimana, tertarik?
