Introduction:
With more than 60 years of history Silverstone has become one of the most prestigious venues dedicated to motorsport. Completely revamped in recent years, a multimillion pound investment saw the completion in 2010 of a first phase of works to greatly improve the venue, making it one of the fastest tracks on the MotoGP calendar and earning high praise from the World Championship riders who enjoyed the new layout. The ‘Silverstone Wing’, a state-of-the-art, multi-million pound new Pit and Paddock Complex, will welcome MotoGP in 2011, thus adding to already breathtaking facilities at Silverstone.

Silverstone "Day of Champions" tickets still up for grabs

All of the stars of MotoGP will be on stage at the Day of Champions auction to help raise thousands of pounds to support Riders for Health’s lifesaving work in Africa. The day is set to be a fun filled affair with stunt shows, live music, interviews, quizzes and of course the fundraising auction. Confirmed acts are 12-times World Trials champions Dougie Lampkin and ACDC tribute band Hell’s Bell’s.
For those wanting to get a behind the scenes glimpse of MotoGP, there are still a limited number of morning and afternoon paddock passes priced at £45 each. For children 15 and under the price is £10. Tickets for the Entertainment Zone are just £15. Tickets are on sale online at Silverstone or call +44 (0) 844 3750 500.
Anyone planning on heading to the circuit by bike can join the ride-in leaving from Gaydon to Silverstone circuit. Visit riders for more details.
