The Camaro Transformers special edition was announced, aptly, at the comic-book confab Comic-Con in San Diego on Wednesday. Karen Rafferty, Chevrolet product marketing director, couldn’t resist saying, “Streets all over North America will be buzzing in no time.”
Fans of the new Camaro
and the blockbuster TRANSFORMERS movies can now combine their love of the car and the films with the Chevrolet Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition announced today at Comic-Con in San Diego.‘When the first TRANSFORMERS movie was setting box office records, we had countless customers asking to purchase the ‘BUMBLEBEE’ Camaro,’ said Karen Rafferty, product marketing director, Chevrolet. ‘Now, they can buy one with the new Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition. Streets all over North America will be buzzing in no time.’
The standard Transformers Camaro is, of course, yellow with black stripes and has the Camaro’s 3.6-liter V6 making 304 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic transmission. For those who order a Camaro SS in Transformers livery, it gets the 426-hp V8 (400 hp on the automatic). The same electronic gadgetry is all there, including Bluetooth and USB connectivity, XM satellite radio and OnStar.
